What Tessa listens for
When something major happens in a resident's room, Tessa notifies caregivers and invited family members, so families stay involved without extra work for busy staff. Examples of what Tessa can listen for. Not every sound becomes an alert.

11:47 PM - Resident room
Tessa detects a sharp impact and captures whether the resident calls for help, or the quiet that follows. Care staff and family get an urgent alert with when it happened and what Tessa noticed.
10:30 AM - Resident room
Tessa notices a missed expected activity or routine window in the room. Care staff and family get a clear alert so someone can check in before a small delay becomes a bigger concern.
1:08 AM - Resident room
Tessa detects cries for help, shouts, or distress in the room and sends care staff and family an urgent alert with when it happened and what Tessa noticed.
After an alert
When Tessa detects a possible urgent event in a resident's room, care staff and invited family members get a clear notification in the Tessa app. Depending on your setup, we can also call key contacts if they are not in the app, so a major event is not missed. Tessa is not a replacement for 911. Call emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
Facility deployments can include app notifications for care teams and families, with optional phone follow-up for key contacts. Families stay informed without adding steps for on-site staff.
